FAQs

Will there be escorts/dates?

Each parent will be responsible to determine if an escort/date is appropriate for their child.

Can we bring outside guests?

Each parent will be responsible to determine if an outside guest will be a good fit for our group.  If so, then the outside guest is permitted.

Will there be slow dancing?

The coordinator(s) will neither encourage nor deny dancing.  It will be the responsibility of each parent to discuss with their child what is an appropriate and reasonable form of dance.

What form of clothing is appropriate?

Boys may wear tuxedos, suits, shirt and tie.  This will be at the parent’s discretion to determine what is modest and appropriate.

Girls may wear formal, party, prom dresses.  This will be at the parent’s discretion to determine what is modest and appropriate.

Chaperones?

All parents are welcome to stay. The Black Knight’s standard policy is charging per person to cover all expenses for the menu and such, therefore parents will also need to purchase an admittance ticket if they are planning to attend.   Tickets are $26 each.

Goal:

To be one of the highlights of the students’ school year by reinforcing that doing things with a Godly standard doesn’t have to mean sacrificing life’s experience, but choosing to honor God in ALL situations.

The coordinator(s) feels that these frequently asked questions are an area where you as parents have the opportunity to  govern and disciple your children. The terms of modesty and public displays of affection are yours to define. If there is an area of concern the coordinator(s) may approach the parent to discuss the issue.
